  • Collective frontier posts shall activate the trade

    The countries of the East African Community (EAC) plan to combine the frontier posts of all frontiers within the Community. So the trade overlapping the frontiers and the exchange of services is going to be easier. The participating countries promise themselves these facilities due to the fact that the public servants of immigration and custom of two neighbouring countries work in a shared office.

  • Study shows: Rwanda has made the biggest progress

    Rwanda has achieved the biggest improvement of all sub-Saharan nations in the last years. This is attested by the latest Ibrahim Index. The Ibrahim Index is a ranking of countries. It valuates the governments of all 48 countries of sub-Saharan Africa. Rwanda ranks at 18th now. That means a bettering of 18 positions. No other country has made such an improvement.

  • Kigali City: Centennial Celebrations

    Since May 2007, the Centennial Celebrations of Kigali City take place with monthly changing themes and events. Highlight will be the “Great final” from October 25th until 27th.

  • A festival for the partnership: Rwanda-Day in Mainz

    Themed: “Isaramba nta kabusa- Partnership has a future”, this years Rwanda-day took place in Mainz at 8th of September. In June, the President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame already invited to the official festivities in Kigali. Now it was up to Rhineland-Palatinate to celebrate the partnership and to take a look into the future as well as back to a history of 25 years.
